Class in a Case
Class in a Case is a computer lab that can be transported in a suitcase. The goal is to be able to bring a computer lab in villages in Haïti, Cameroun etc…to give computer science training. To give you the context, Class in a Case is an initiative I launched as part of the humanitarian association Projet PC2. I am Vice President of what we would call “computer science missions”. Each summer we travel to a village in a third world country to give training in schools. We achieve this feat by using micro computers called “Raspberry Pi” which are 45 times smaller than a usual computer. They are all connected to a main control server, using an open source OS made for education, Edubuntu. For the latest informations on Class in a Case, check the blog : Class in a Case Blog !
